Sparkles and Plaid

Happy New Year everyone! I have been on vacation since last Friday and I'm looking forward to getting back into my Blog and Blog reading.  The good thing is I'm not the only one who has been enjoying the holiday season, so I'm not too far behind on my reading, phew! We took a little trip to Northern California for a few days and even got to spend a few hours in San Francisco on our way up. I will post more about our trip once I have a chance to sort through the 400 pictures I took!
I have to admit that I usually dread how ridiculously COLD it is in Northern Ca. but luckily is was very bearable this visit. I don't know why but I feel like my house, covered in hardwood floors, is much colder than my MIL 110 yr (or plus) old house!

On our visit I wore... Sparkles for New Years Eve
That black sweater is the same "cardigan" I wore on Christmas here. I just snipped the tag (very carefully), buttoned all the buttons (that were spaced very nicely for this to look cute) and wore it backwards.

And Plaid for outdoors

I hope you all had a great New Years Eve!

  8. I am in loove with that skirt. Gahh, I am so obsessed with sparkles and sequins lately, it's getting to be kind of ridiculous actually. ha I need to branch OUT. They're so fun though, I love how you paired yours with that cute cardigan (worn backwards! You're genius). I've always been intimidated to try that but you've inspired me to maybe give it a shot.
