Cara Box

This month's Cara Box with Wifessionals was a little different. We were paired up based on our age group and status, meaning I got paired with other 30 something year olds with kids. I thought that was fun since we would all definitely have something in common.

I got paired with Kim from my crazy beautiful life (who I sent to) and Sybil from peace it all together (who I received from). Kim is a fairly new blogger and so I was really relying on our email exchanges to get to know more about her. I really enjoy our e-mail exchanges, I can tell that she is one of those people that can hold a good conversation.
Sybil is so sweet and I have really been enjoying reading about her son (who is fairly close in age to my son) and of course the rest of her family too. She sent me the best cara box (no offence to all the other cara boxes), I seriously feel so spoiled by her.

A scarf, a clutch, pretty polishes and bracelets!! And the colors of everything... so pretty and so perfect. It's almost as if she was my best friend and knew exactly what I would like. I cannot thank her enough for everything she sent me.  I can't wait to see what everyone else got.

Cara Box

If you haven't heard of Cara Box you might want to check it out here and maybe participate in the future. Who doesn't love receiving gifts in the mail right? This is the first time I have participated in the Cara Box Swap and I got paired with Lindsey from Follow the Ruels (you can see what I got Lindsey here) and Angela from Adventures to Remember. I'm so happy that I found these 2 new blogs to read through this swap, both girls are great. Lindsey is engaged and Angela just finished Grad school, both are at very exciting milestones in their lives. Check them out when you have a chance.

On with my Cara Box from Angela. The theme was "Go Green". Angela did an amazing job putting my gift together, not only did she do well with the theme but she incorporated some of my favorite things. Seeds to plant my own morning glory's... and a guacamole mix, love!

I can't wait to paint my nails and use my new tumbler. So perfect for my long commute. Thank you so much Angela. And thanks to Kaitlyn from Wifessionals for hosting a fun swap.

Valentine Blogging Party

A few weeks ago I saw a post for a Valentine Swap hosted by: Casey, Nicole, Lauren, Alycia, and Ashlee . This is the second swap I have participated in, the first was a Fall Friendship swap, which I loved. So I was really excited to participate in a Valentine swap. I was paired with Amy from Sweet Home Santa Barbara. Can I just say how fitting it is that she has the word "sweet" in her Blog name, she really is a sweet girl.

I was really excited to receive my package from Amy, and here's why...
How gorgeous is this scarf?! I LOVE this color so much.
And yummy scents!
I haven't actually opened the Almond soap yet but I can just imagine how amazing it is.
I seriously love Almond!

The frame has a cute little saying on the front that reads
"we do not remember days; we remember moments..."
Thank you so much Amy! I love everything!

Fall Friendship Swap 2012

A few weeks ago I signed up for a Fall Friendship Swap through Vignettes.
What is a Fall Friendship Swap? you ask ...
Well, first we all signed up, then we got matched with a partner. Then we had  two weeks to get a package of fall goodness together to mail out to our partner (spending a maximum of $20). And received a package in return. So without further ado ...

My partner was Aliesha from Feathers in Our Nest (btw, she recently posted a recipe for Pumpkin Spice Bagels...Bagels! She made her own Bagels! so awesome)
I have to admit that I was intimidated when she told me this was her 3rd year participating, I got matched with a pro.! I hope she is enjoying my box as much as I am hers:
I can't believe how many little goodies she fit in this box

Who doesn't love a good chocolate

I'm so excited to add this little pumpkin to a collection of 3 other similar Pumpkins I have

How adorable is this acorn?! And she made this crafty little picture frame

Definitely excited to have a new coffee cup for work, and she even included a little tea bag

Thank you so much Aliesha for your thoughtfulness!
Thanks to Kristin for organizing the swap!
