Random

1. a conversation between me and babe while eating dinner:
babe: mom, is this a Pea?
me: yes. are you going to eat it?
babe: sure (as he examines it first and slowly brings it up to his mouth)
me: is it good?
babe: (shakes his head yes) and then says ... but it's gross.

2. as I drove out of the driveway this morning I felt like my car was a little wobbly. I figured it just needed to warm up since I haven't drove it since last Wed. But 3 blocks away, I decided to get out and check my tires. Sure enough ... half flat!

3. isn't it weird coming back to work after a vacation, even a short vacation?! I feel like I've been gone for weeks (or "A" week) because there are 100 e-mails in my inbox and no work on my desk (which means someone else did it). That doesn't usually happen when I'm out for a day or two. I just want to go back home and snuggle up on my couch.

4. speaking of my couch. it's fairly new so my husband "insists" on having it covered with a boring white sheet! it's kind of funny (but not). It reminds me of going to my grandparents house when I was younger and they had those stupid plastic covers on their couch ... ok, luckily we don't have plastic! But we seriously need to find a nice slip cover or something.

Today I'm linking up with Lowercase Letters for Miscellany Monday
Thanks for stopping by!

  1. The story of your little one eating his peas made me laugh!! So cute. And I loved your photos from your weekend...it looks like you all had a lot of fun, though I know how frustrating it is when your photos turn out blurry :/

  3. Last week my hubby was feeling a little under the weather and he wanted to cover the couch with a white sheet "so he didn't get his germs on it". Boys are silly sometimes ;) Stopping by from Misc. Monday!
