Words in Music

My favorite part of of song are the words. A beat is of course necessary for dancing but the words of a song is what really grabs my attention. My husband is oppisite, all about the beat/sound. Recently he pointed out how music these days is all about amping up the "music" and drowning out the words. I didn't really notice until we were watching a few music videos today that this is totally true! Not for all music of course but some. It's a shame, because I might not give those songs a second chance .... unless I look up the Lyrics?!
